Whenever
we think of buying any mobile phone Or electronic stuff only Google and Apple are the only brands that come to our mind.
WHAT IS BHAROS
They’re one of the most famous and best ones. But As India is
developing,
it’s making advancements in everything. Now, It is developing various plans to bring new operating systems in India
for making India less dependent
on IOS and android. They gave it a name as BharOs.
“BharOs “which is “Bharat
+Os”, is an Indian IOS.
BharOs
is AOSP (Android open source project) Based operation system. It is a government-funded project in India.
It doesn’t have any default Google
apps and services as android and IOS have. So
users are free to use and install
apps according to their choices and they don’t have any pressure to have apps and applications which they don’t
trust and like.
A press
release stated that it’s the ideal OS for organizations that
deal with confidential information and require added prioritized security.
This OS was invented by IIT madras nonprofit Jandk operations
private limited. In short IIT
madras is made up. It is being said that this phone will focus more on the privacy of everyone and this
application will not allow any virus
or country to take our data and information. It will secure the privacy of individuals and it’s a perfect
fit with the Project's goal of reducing dependence on foreign
machinery and mobile
phones.
As
it’s seeming this good, It is said that it will be used by thousands of people in the upcoming time.
When it was launched and what
is special about it?
It was launched on 19th January
2023, as per the Twitter announcement of MOE. This device
is going to be available to private and public sectors both. BharOs and androids are comparable as their technicians are highly similar. The functions and methods
used while making them are the same because
both are AOSP(Android open source project). The
difference between them both is BharOs doesn’t contain
google services and apps. Google
collects data with its preloaded services. Also Sometimes even without the user’s
permission. This feature isn’t in BharOs so
consequently, it’s safe and cares for the privacy
of users more.
It has advanced in some applications including
privacy policies, security, and
installing apps. Users can install whatever they want. They don’t have to take those apps on their
phones which they do not want or do not know about that.
BharOs
is working on its features and it will prepare a separate app store from the Google Play store. Native apps
will take place in that. It will be built especially for Indian users.
So now the
question which arises
in our minds would be
-Will
it beat other Os in 2023?
Basically, It’s a little tough to answer now
because the madras IIT team hasn’t
revealed everything about it till now. It
is still in process.
It
Is similar to Android because both are made up by using AOSP. There are no preinstalled apps in it. Users are
going to install apps according to
their choices and preferences. Having a different app store from Google is going to make it a far better OS
than Android. It can beat all the
other Oss as it gives complete freedom to users to install apps according to their own choices. There will
be no monopoly of Google in BharOs.
In every mobile phone, laptop, and other electronic or technology, Google is one of the most famous applications which
owns all control over technology. It
is predicted that BharOs can beat Google.
Also as the director of madras IIT said, BharOs offers Native over the air (NOTA) updates that help in keeping the device safe. He also
says trusted apps from private stores may be downloaded
on this OS. So there is no chance of leakage of data from any third
company or device.
And maybe BharOs
will not be provided to everyone in India. As it can be
provided to the defense, army, and other professionals to secure those data.
Till now whatever
we know about BharOs is making
us say, it’s going to
be much better than other Oss.
In addition, no details on BharOs’ release
dates are currently available till now.
Over the coming weeks, BharOs is expecting other apps and companies
to cooperate with BharOs.
